1. Joined Indian National Congress during 1938.
2. Was arrested during 'Dwaja Sathyagraha ' in 1938; was imprisoned about 6 months in Mysore Jail ; during 1942.
3. Participated "Britishare Desha Bittu Horadi' strike and was arrested on 12th August, 1942 was in jail at Mysore, Bangalore, Srirangapatna, Kabbegatte for about 16 months.
4. Participated in ' Aramane Chalo' strike at Mysore and imprisoned at Mysore and Shimoga Jails.
5. Was imprisoned for 42 days at Mandya Jail on account of his participation in Sugar Factory Workers strike at Mandya.
6. Was imprisoned for 5 months during emergency period.
7. Was first Secretary to INTUC, State Branch ; established State Government Housing Corporation and served as member for 3 years.
8. Was Member, State Labour Advisory Board, State Labour Minimum Wages Committee, Apprenticeship Council, Technical Education Board, Coffee Board, Member for 10 years.
9. Was Organising Secretary of Janata Party during 1964; was Member, Dasara Exhibition Committee.
10. Was served as Member of Sri Adichunchanagiri Kshetra Advisory Committee; Member, Sri Adichunchanagiri Medical College Management Committee.
11. Entered Journalism during 1942 and established ' Vijaya ' news paper during 15th August, 1947 and became its Editor; was President, Mysore Patrika Sampadakara Sangha.
12. President, Small and District Level papers Editors Association ; Member, Beggar Relief Committee, Mysore, Mysore Zoo; Recruitment Committee of Social Welfare Department.
