Term Year - (1974-1980)

1. President of Ladies Social Welfare Service League(Regd) Mangalore. Founder member of Mangalore Cheshire Home for Incurables, District Commissioner Girl Guides South Kanara.
2. Good Orator, writer and prize winner, was a Municipal Councilor in 1961 and Deputy Leader of Municipal congress Party, elected unanimously as Vice-President of Mangalore Municipality during 1965-70.
3. Was the first acting lady President for three months of Mangalore Municipality, first standing Committee Chairman of the Mangalore Municipality, served on Mysore State Social welfare Advisory Board, served in the Mysore State  Citizens Council and Jawan welfare; served as Jail Visitor.
4. Served on District level Committees in several capacities, served as General Secretary and Treasurer, South Kanara District Congress Committee for two years, Convenor of the Executive Council of Karanataka Pradesh Congress Committee. New Women’s Wing in South Kanara; was awarded Gold Medal for Service “Pro-Ecesia Et.pontifice” by his holiness Pope Paul VI in 1967.
5. Was member of Central Social Welfare Board, was National Head Quarters Commissioner for ranging and Bharat Scouts and Guides, Karantaka, Ex-State Commissioner(g) of Karnataka and Ex. District Commissioner(g) of South Kanara, Receipient of Rajyotsava award for Social Service in Mysore in 1968; Member, Central Beggar Relief Committee;was a member of Legislative Council from December 1970 to January 1972.
6. Again nominated to council during 1974.Member, Planning Board, Mangalore; travelled 4 Times abroad round the world and thrice on invitation to International Conference. The last in 1974 International Women Year to New York and Spoke on women and peace at United Scouting Conference of International Women Year at New York and Detroit.
