Social and other activities

  1. He graduated from the Deccan College, Poona in 1913.
  2. He is one of the founder life members of the Karnataka Lingayat (now Liberal) Education Society.
  3. He founded the Gilganchi Artal High School, Belgaum, joined the teaching staff and retired as Principal of the High School in 1948.
  4. He is connected with the Co-operative movement since 1933 and is a sitting Director of the Belgaum District Central Co­operative Bank, Ltd., Belgaum.
  5. He was the Chairman of the District School Board for 3 years and a member of the District Board and District School Board, Belgaum, for a number of years.
  6. He was a member of the Senate of the Bombay University and now is a sitting member of the Senate of the Karnataka University. He takes interest in all social and educational Activities.
  7. Elected member of the Legislative Council from Mysore State, on behalf of Teachers' Constituency, Mysore North.
