Term Year - ( 1968-1974)

1. Enlisted as a volunteer even as a school boy in 1935
2. Was associated in the freedom movement at a  very young age and was arrested and kept under detention for six months in 1942 and again arrested and kept under jail for about 3 months.
3. Was the Secretary of the Mysore State Students' Congress.
4. Was a member of the Central Parliamentary Board and Chairman of the State Parliamentary Committee of the Praja Socialist Party till June 1964 when be along with Shri Ashok Mehta and other friends joined the Congress.
5. Was the Vice-President of the All India Hind Mazdoor Sabha for about three years and was the President of the State Branch of the Hind Mazdoor Sabha for more than 14 years.
6. Is president of many Unions in Bangalore and also of the All India Organisation of the Tobacco workers which has its Head Quarters at Patna.
7. Has been imprisoned eight times in his Political career.
8. In 1952 be attended the Asian Socialist Conference at Rangoon.
9. In 1959 on the invitation of the U. S. Government, toured U. S. for about 4 months and later visited London, Brussels, Paris, West Berlin, Geneva, Rome, Athens and Cairo.
10. Is a member of several Government committees both at the Centre and State.
11. Is a nominated member of the A. I. C. C.
12. Elected to the Mysore Legislative Council on 14th May 1968.
