1. Is a Committee Member in the Parents Students Association. 2. Joined National Council of Women in India, Bangladesh Branch 1972; served as a Committee Member, Joint Secretary, Vice-President and finally President of the National Council of Women in India. 3. Became a member of Indian Council Social Welfare. 4. Is the Chairman of the Hostel Committee for Working Women, Nominated as a member of B. D. A. in 1980. 5. Appointed as a Committee Member of the Discharged Prisoners' Aid Society, Central Jail. 6. Nominated by the Governor as the Governing Body Member of the Red Cross Society. 7. Is a Chairman of Family Welfare Trust and has collected Rs.2 1/2 lakhs for the implementation of Blood Donation and Family Planning in all slums and rural areas. 8. Was Vice-President of the Central Managing Body of the Indian Red Cross Society during her Vice-Chairmanship she was responsible for increasing membership and also the Red Cross Society diversified their activities, such as blood donation, rendering help for flood affected areas etc., 9. She was largely responsible for getting the Red Cross Building vacated by the P & T Department. 10. Worked hard in improving the finance of the Red Cross Society. 11.
