2. Is the Adviser to the Karantaka State College Teachers’ Association.

3. Is the Senate Member of the Mysore University.

4. Is the President, Karantaka State Secondary Teachers’ Association.

5. Started the Career as Hindi Teacher in Government Training School, Mangalore in 1938 to 1945; Travelled abroad and took the associateship course at the University of Durham U.K. Received State award for meritorious service in the field of Education Department form the Government of Mysore: worked in the Madras Education for six years.

6. Worked as Civilian School Mistress for a year in the Southern Command, Madras in 1946; Worked as Headmistress in the Middle and High Schools for 26 Years in the Bangalore City Corporation, from 1946 to 1971.

7. Worked as Chief Examiner for English paper for the S.S.L.C Examination for two Years. Was nominated as a member of the Mysore State Secondary Education Examination Board for one term; Participated in the University Extension lectures of the Mysore University, officiated and  associated in the various Educational and Teachers’ Associations was Corporation Education officer in 1971-72 was a girl guide commissioner for 20 years.

8. Was a member of the Audio Visual Aids Committee; was a member of the  State Library Committee; was Acadamic Council Member of the Bangalore University for a term; was Vice-President of the Bangalore Secondary Teachers’ Association; was  Executive Committee Member of the All India Federation of Educational Institution for one Term.

9. Worked as member of the Assurance Committee and also subordinate Legislation committee for a term of two years each during last term; was the member of the Legislative council during 1972-78; re-elected as Member of the Legislative Council in June, 1978.
