1. Is the founder President of Karnataka Consumer Service Society which is a voluntary organisation involved in consumer education and protection.
2. Her work on consumer education has led her to write extensively on the subject and address many social, University gathering and rural groups.
3. Her work in the consumer Movement in India has taken her as a delegate to Seminars and Conventions of the International Organisation of Consumer Unions held abroad and to Conferences held in other States in India.
4. She is acknowledged among the pioneers of the Consumer Movement in India and was among those who mooted the formation, or the National Consumer Protection Council which is now been constituted by the Government of India.
5. She is considered a resource person on the subject on consumer education and protection and in October 1980 attended the regional seminar of the International Co-operative alliance at Sri Lanka as a resource person.
6. Was a Member of the All India Women's Association, the tariff committee of K.E.B.
7. The deaf aid society, the Advisory Board of the Indian Standards Institution-Bangalore Branch, the prevention of food and drug adulteration committee and was offered the job of honorary magistrate but the same was declined for want of time.
8. Was Justice of peace in Hubli.
9. Was the Chairman of the 2nd All India Consumer Conference hosted in Bangalore in December, 1974.
10. Author of the book called "The Indian Market Place "
11. Was nominated to Karnataka Legislative Council in 1976.
12. Elected as member of Committee of Privileges.
