- Entered Mysore Educational Service in 1927 in which he served, for 4 years.
- Greatly interested in dramatic art, organised a dramatic troupe in 1927.
- Later joined the famous (Gubbi Theatrical Co., of Natakaratna Sri G. H. Veeranna the management of which was held by him for over 25 years.
- Travelled extensively in Southern India and established notable contacts in the field of drama.
- Collected large funds for establishing social,Religious and co-operative institutions.
- In recognition of his services in dramatics and public service Government of Mysore awarded him the Public Service Medal in 1946.
- Conducted the Kannada Stage Centenary in Mysore City in 1948.
- Was awarded the title of 'Natyakala Visharada' by the Maharaja of Mysore in 1949.
- Member, Mysore City Municipal Council, Member and President of several other educational, dramatic and co-operative institutions.
