- Born in a Backward family at Karle Village. struggled for getting educated.
- During the College studies joined the Indian National Congress in 1938.
- Discontinued the studies in B.Sc., and joined 1942 "Quit· India" movement.Suffered imprisonment for 9 months.
- During fight for responsible Government in Mysore in 1947, worked as a member of Action Committee in the Northern Boarders of old Mysore State and helped the fight inside the State.
- Started life as agriculturist.
- Started business in 1944. From 1947 started Bharathi group of Industries and by 1971 established two factories at Hassan and three factories at Bangalore.
- Toured America, Europe and Middle East in 1958.
- In Cooperative field worked from village Co-operative to Apex Institute.
- Promoter of Hassan District Co-operative Bank and many Co-operatives at taluk and district levels, worked as their Presidents.
- Established many schools, colleges and hostels at district level.As a student worked in Harijan Brotherhood and worked as President of Harijan Sevak Sangha, Hassan District for many years.
- As Scout Commissioner, conducted Voluntary service camps and laid nearly 200 miles reads in Mysore State.
- Worked as Secretary, Bharat Sevak Samaj and conducted many international camps.
