Position Held 1. Has been Chairman of Kollegal Co-operative Urban Bank for the last 15 years.
2. Founded the Kollegal Taluk Agricultural Produce Co-operative Marketing society at Kollegal and its President for six years. Worked for the integration of Kollegal Taluk with Mysore.
3. Was Elected to the Mysore Legislative Assembly in the 2nd and 3rd General Elections as an Independent from Palya Constituency. Served as member of Several Important Select Committees and the Business Advisory Committee and was member of the Mysore University Senate.
4. Served as member of the Mysore State Scheduled Tribes Committee and Mysore State Co-operative Union.
5. Worked as Chairman of Board of Trustees; Sri Mahadeswara. Temple, for ten years and responsible for its development and increase in income from Rs. 90,000 to Rs. 7,00,000. Worked in collection of shares and for securing the letter of intent from the Government of India for starting Co-operative Sugar Factory at Kollegal.
6. Founded Sri Mahadeswara College of Arts, Science and Commerce and is working for its development.
7. Elected to the Mysore Legislative Council from the Assembly on 14th May, 1968.

Social and Other Activities

1. While in college worked as elected Secretary of 'Kannada Sangha', St. Joseph's College, Bangalore ; was elected Secretary St. Joseph's College Union; was elected member, Madras Law College representative Council and was member, Victoria Students Hostel Union.
2. Worked for the· Bengal relief fund and as a student participated in the agitation for responsible Government of Mysore 1947.
3. Started doing upliftment work for Harijans and other weaker sections of society since 1952.
4. Founder President of the Hostel for Harijan Students at Kollegal and Hunsur.
5. Founder President of the Kollegal Taluk Education Society which is running four High Schools, an Upper Primary School and a General Hostel.
6. Founded a Hostel for Harijan Girls and its President for 3 years.
