Associated with several institutions established for the agricultural and rural rebuild of Karnataka such as Karnataka Improved Variety Cotton Growers' Association of Annigeri. 8. Has imparted Primary Education to Harijans during 1922-30 in Pandit Taranathaji's Premayatana Ashram; his co-operation and unstinted efforts with Sri S. M. Patil of Saswihalli, Navalgund Taluk, for rural development in parts, of Annigeri Circle cannot be forgotton. 9. Has taken active part in the upliftment of rural areas ; has also worked with Sri G. V. Hallikeri in the sphere of Khadi and Village Industries to the best of his ability. 10. Has vast experience of the working of Local Self-Government institutions; Member, Dharwar Municipal Borough, for a number of years. 11. Was Chairman, Dharwar Municipal School Board, for about 6 years; was in charge of the Training Class to impart training to Secretaries of Village Panchayats in Dharwar District for about 3 months. 12. Initiated for the formation of "Nadahahba" festival 30 years ago; was Honorary Secretary, Vijayanagar 6th Centenary Celebration in 1936. 13)Was Honorary Secretary, Karnataka Vidya Vardhaka Sangha; was Honorary Secretary, Karnataka Regional Library, for two terms. 14. Was President, Vani Vilas Higher Elementary School of Aswathapur; was member, Kannada Sahitya Parishad ; . was a Pradyapak in the Bhuvanendra Sanskrit College, Karkala. |
