4. Courted imprisonment during 1947 movement for Responsible Government in Mysore State.
5. Elected to the Mysore Legislative Council in 1958 from the Legislative Assembly.

2. Was also Secretary, Maharaja's College Union, Mysore.
3. Vice-President, Intermediate College, Shimoga.
