| Social and Other Activities | 1. Served as Kannada Teacher from High School level to Post Graduate level for 35 years was High School Teacher for, 11 years at Belgaum, Shurahatti and Hubli. 2. Was College Lecturer for 14 years at Arts and Science College, Karwar : was Lecturer, for 10 years at The Institute of Correspondence Course and Continuing Education, Mysore University. 3. Writing of poems started from his school days the poem ' Sumana Somabha' was awarded by State Sahitya Academy. 4. Gandakeshwara Kavana Sangraha was awarded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. 5. 'Saravajana Samajadarshana Mattu Sahithya Sathva ' ; was given Literary award by the Murusavira Matta, Hubli : 'Tamasanadi Edabaladi' 'Was published during Viswa Kannada Sammelana; received State Government award during 1984, received Karnataka Sahithya Academy award during 1984. 6. Was participated in the 'Kavi 'Gosti' arranged by the All India Radio, New Delhi during the Republic Day of 1975. 7. Was a member of Karnataka Sahithya Academy from 1981-83. 8. Nominated as Member of Legislative Council by the Governor on 28th July, 1986. |
