  1. Entered politics in 1932 , took part in 1942 movement as a member of the Congress.
  2. Was president of Yadgir D.C.C. from 1942 to 1949, was also a member of D.C.C., Hyderabad Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee and a member of A.I.C.C. during different periods ,but also courted imprisonment in 1947-48 in connection with Preventive Detention Act.
  3. Was a member of Council of States from 1952-54.
  4. At present a member of Gulbarga D.L.B., a member of the Governing body of Shankar College at Yadgiri and a host of other local committees.
  5. Was also a member of the Standing Committee of Central Railway Board during 1952-54; elected to the Mysore Legislative Council on Congress Ticket from the Mysore Legislative Assembly.
