  1. School, Basrur, B.E.M. High School, Mangalore, and St. Aloysius College, Mangalore; took his B.A. in 1925, M.A. & L.T. in 1930.
  2. Was a teacher from 1926 to 1958.
  3. Was in the executive of Hindustan Scout Association, H. S. S. Depressed Class Mission, the Cultural Association and the Journalists' Association.
  4. Is the President of the District- Teachers' Guild and Editor of Kannada Paper "Sahakari ".
  5. Was awarded a Government of India prize for his 'Patrika Prapancha ' book in journalism.
  6. Has also written text books for Schools in English, Kannada and Social studies.
  7. His" Bhavya Bharata Darshana", is an inspiring introduction to India's heritage.
  8. Is also a free lance journalist. Elected to the Legislative Council.
